One day there was a hot discussion in the court of King Nosherwan (Persian king). Different people provided different arguments to prove their positions. But one lord of the tribe was silent at Court. The king asked him, “why are you silent and not participating in this discussion?”
The lord replied, “Advisors are like doctors; doctors give medicine only to those who are sick. When a patient is not sick, the doctor does not suggest any prescription. I have observed that your opinion is correct, therefore it is useless to participate in further discussion.
‘It is not wise to provide an argument when there is already truth. I should guide people when they are blind, to warn them if they are headed for a well.’
